Drayton Manor Park is a theme park set in over 280 acres
of parkland, including lakes and a 15-acre open-plan zoo and
is one of Britain's best family theme parks.
Rides include Apocalypse takes riders to a height of 54
metres and tilts them forward at an agonising 15 degree
angle as they are hoisted skyward on a half ton launch
shuttle, Shockwave is Europe's only stand-up roller coaster
and Maelstrom, a million pound stomach churning gyro.
Family fun for younger people includes Excalibur
which takes you on an amazing trip into our medieval
kingdom, the Pirate Adventure which takes you through the
midst of a battle on the big seas, The Jolly Roger is a ride
that rocks, rolls and spins the family and a Wikl West soot
out where objects come to life as you target them with your
pistol.
With over 100 species from all over the world, Drayton
Manor Zoo is a fascinating place to visit with big cats,
reptiles, monkeys, owls, eagles, parrots-plus an exotic
creature reserve. One of
Britain's largest collection of snakes can be found in the
Reptile House, whilst visitors are sure to want to visit the
zoo's newest additions, a family of meerkats.
