Windsor is home to two of the UK’s Top 20 attractions,
Windsor Castle
and Legoland. Add to this Eton, the Changing of the
Guard and Savill Garden, Windsor Great Park, and over 17
other attractions and Windsor itself makes a holiday venue.
All but one of the attractions are in the town centre and
easily reached by public transport.
Legoland theme park has lots
to occupy children, a Lego model village, rides, car racing
and more. The theme park has spectacular models made
entirely from Lego bricks.
Children aged 2-12 can take
to the road, soar through the skies and sail the seas in
complete safety. Legoland has over 50 interactive rides,
live shows, building workshops, driving schools and
attractions, all set in 150 acres of parkland,
Vikings’ River Splash ride takes you through
uncharted waters rushing downstream in a fantasy Viking
world created by millions of Lego bricks.
Entertainment is held
throughout the season in show venues.
Windsor has two town centre train stations
connecting to London main line stations – Paddington and
Waterloo – and is also linked to London by Green Line
coaches. It is 30 minutes from
London Paddington to Windsor Central, via Slough; or direct
from London Waterloo to Windsor & Eton Riverside, with a bus
to the Park from stops close to both stations.
Legoland Windsor is on the
B3022 Windsor/Ascot road just two miles from Windsor town
centre. It’s easily reached via the M25 and is signed from
the M3 (Junction 3), M4 (Junction 6) and all approach roads.
