Madam Tussauds is probably London's most famous tourist
attraction. Near the Baker Street underground or tube
station, you can mix with the famous at the world renowned
collection of realistic wax figures.
Themes include Superstars, Sports Heroes, Famous
Actors, The Grand Hall and of course The Chamber of Horrors.
You can get up close to your favourite celebrities such as
Brad Pitt, Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer
Lopez.
There's the Stardome and its dazzling, 360-degree show The
Wonderful World Of Stars which replaces the Planetarium,
which closed in 2006. Expect intense visual effects, quirky

Marie Tussaud (1761–1850),
was born in France, Her mother worked as a housekeeper for
Dr. Philippe Curtius. who was a physician skilled in wax
modelling. Curtius taught Tussaud the art of wax modelling.
She made her first waxwork, of Francois Marie Arouet de
Voltaire, in 1777. Other famous people she modelled at that
time include Benjamin Franklin. During the French Revolution
she made wax death masks of prominent victims.
