The West Midlands
Safari and Leisure Park spans 200 acres. The safari park is
targeted at family entertainment and visitors get the chance
to drive through the Safari Park and then spend time at the
Park's amusements.
The four mile safari adventure normally takes about one
hour and fifteen minutes. The drive-through Safari, which
covers an area of over 100 acres, is home to a variety of,
exotic and unusual animals which roam the reserves. There
are Elephants, Rhino, Giraffe, Lion, Wallaby, Tiger, Emu,
Camel, Zebra, Gnu, Eland, Ankole Cattle, Yak, Przewalski’s
Horse, Asian Buffalo, Wolf, Llama and all kinds of Antelope.
West Midland Safari Park now has 12 White Lions in their
pride - the only pride in the UK - comprising four adults
and eight cubs.
Visitors arriving early find least queues and are able to
feed the animals at their leisure - special diet animal food
is available from the kiosk when you arrive. There are no
toilets in the safari.
After your safari adventure, park your vehicle and head for
Discovery Trail where you can see the Sealion Encounter at
the Seal Island Exhibit Pool, Twilight Cave, SeaQuarium,
Creepy Crawlies, Sealion Show and Reptile House. Hippo
Lakes, home to the largest family group of Hippo in the
country, is situated not far from all the action - last
feeding timing is 3.30pm.
The amusement park is packed with rides and amusements to
suit all members of the family.
