Thorpe Park has a reputation for being the wettest of
England's theme parks thanks to its famous water rides.
Tidal Wave, boasts the biggest drop on any water ride in Europe and
will see you plunge 85ft, there's white-water rafting down
Thunder River, and the classic log flume Logger's Leap.
There's white knuckle rides like Detonator,
a gravity defying drop ride that winches riders 100ft in the
air before firing them back to earth at 75km per hour with a
G-Force of 5.5, the most G’s the body can take and Slammer
where riders are taken soaring 105 feet towards the sky
before being flipped over to be slam-dunked towards the
earth in an intense 30mph “free fall” only to swoop skywards
again just before hitting the ground.
Spaced over 500 acres, Thorpe Park is one of the UK’s
best theme parks and is divided into a number of theme
areas, each with its own rides and attractions.
The theme
park is within easy reach of London, being sited between
junctions 11 to 13 (access from junction 12 is not
possible).Travel to dizzying heights of 205ft on the ride
that accelerates from 0-80mph in less than 2.0 seconds.
